TUNISIA. The trade deficit reached Tunisia 5000 M € in the first ten months of 2012. According to the National Institute of Statistics (INS) who gave the information, the coverage rate decreases from 6.3% to 68.8%. The INS says that this deficit is due to an increase of 13.5% in imports (+ 16 000 M €) and an increase in exports of only 3.9% (+ 11 000 M €).
To export all sectors are growing with the exception of textile and clothing industries electrical. Imports increased in most positions.
Tunisian exports to the European Union (71.5% of total exports) adds the INS, recorded a decline of 3.6% (-9.9% to France, with 11% and Italy - 2.3% with Germany).
